'Black in Burton' A Portrait Of A Town

In the ‘Black in Burton’ film series I explored the narrative identities of a cross section of the local Black community. The intention was to create a broad picture of the experiences of various generations of the small black population and invite the audience to share and explore their own lives, journeys and interactions through discussion. A collaboration resulted in a series of images that could represent the featured personalities using iconic local architecture to visually make them an intrinsic part of the town.
